ADB TA 7262-VIE: Capacity building of renewable Energy Development in Vietnam

The project ADB TA 7262-VIE: Capacity building of renewable Energy Development in Vietnam is sponsored by ADB to support EVN, NPC, CPC and SPC review feasibility studies of small hydropower projects and grid system to meet the funding criteria of ADB.
Feasibility study and preparation of technical design of 10 small hydropower projects and 2 transmission projects. Technical assistance in construction stage: procurement, construction and commissioning. Each stage will be subject to approval of EVN and ADB.
Grid extension and rehabilitation of distribution network serving poor communes.
In this project, GFD provide experts on structure, geology, hydrology, electrical systems, society, environment, resettlement, finance and economic power to cooperate and support PCs to adjust the reports of investment and feasibility study.
Main tasks include:
– Review the investment reports, preliminary designs, financial analysis;
– Review the environmental impact assessment, resettlement;
– Training capacity strengthening for the units of design consultancy;
– Support PCs adjust the investment reports.
