Introduction

Green Field Consulting and Development JSC (GFD) is the official distribution partner of EarthDaily satellite imagery in Vietnam. GFD provides government agencies, research institutes, businesses and international organizations with high-quality, calibrated Earth observation data, together with consulting, processing and analytics services.

The EarthDaily Constellation is a new generation of Earth observation satellites designed to image the globe almost every day with high stability and consistency. Its data is purpose-built for broad-area change detection and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Key features

  • Near-daily revisit: the constellation covers most of the world’s landmass every day, enabling continuous monitoring and improving the chance of cloud-free images in tropical regions such as Vietnam.
  • 22 calibrated spectral bands: visible and near-infrared (VNIR), shortwave infrared (SWIR) and thermal infrared (TIR), with 16-bit radiometric depth.
  • 5 m resolution in the VNIR bands and a 240 km swath per pass, ideal for wide-area monitoring.
  • Interoperable with Sentinel-2 and Landsat: geometric and radiometric calibration against science-grade missions makes it easy to combine with existing historical archives.
  • Fast delivery: depending on the service level, priority data can be delivered in as little as about 3 hours.
  • EarthOne platform: search, retrieve, visualize and process data at scale in the cloud through a web interface, APIs and a Python SDK.

  • Forestry and EUDR compliance: early detection of deforestation and forest degradation; evidence for traceability under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR); support for carbon measurement, reporting and REDD+.
  • Agriculture: crop growth monitoring, area and yield estimation (rice, coffee, rubber…), drought impact assessment.
  • Water resources and disasters: monitoring of floods, drought, saltwater intrusion and forest fires using shortwave and thermal infrared bands.
  • Construction and infrastructure monitoring: tracking construction progress of large-scale projects (transport, urban areas, industrial parks, hydropower); early detection of illegal construction, land encroachment and violations of protection corridors.
  • Mineral resources monitoring: detecting illegal mining; tracking changes in open pits, waste dumps and tailings ponds over time; supporting compliance checks on licensed boundaries and post-mining rehabilitation.
  • Environment and urban areas: tracking land use change, urban expansion and land surface temperature.
