General information
- Data Management Software, Flycam/Drone (GFD Flight Manager) is a commercial software developed by Green Field Consulting and Development Company Limited.
- The software enables users to manage data captured by drones, compare data across different periods; and integrate map data, allowing for map overlay with drone images on a WebGIS platform for desktop and a mobile app platform for mobile devices running Android and iOS operating systems. Additionally, the software manages flight logs, flight history, and user management.
- The software is being used as a component of the Smart Forest Monitoring System in Vinh Phuc and Ninh Thuan provinces.
Main Functions
- Manage image data taken from flycam/drone
- Compare images taken between 2 times
- Overlaying image data and base map data such as current status, planning of 3 types of forests, replacement afforestation, and group II forest owner boundaries to monitor forest changes in forest boundary areas.
- Allows project-based data management with related image data, maps, measurement data, and created point, line, and area objects.
- Manage drone usage logs, grid flight paths, and flight history of drones assigned to units, ensuring that drones are used for the right purposes.
Software Components
WebGIS Subsystem
- Integrate annual forest status map data (From FRMS 4.0 source of Forest Protection Department); Other types of base maps: Planning of 3 types of forests, forest owners of group II, reforestation, …
- Provide Sentinel-2 Satellite image data, cycle 2 times/month
- Store single image data, composite images from drones
- Allows comparison of 2 images taken from 2 different times, or images taken from drones and Sentinel-2 images at past times
- Allows overlaying of drone map and image data layers
- Allows management of previously created flight grids, flight history, flight logs
- Manage no-fly zones, restricted flights, and restricted flight altitudes for drones
- Manage users and assign user access rights to image data stored on the system
- Manage base map data for drone: DEM, map in *mbtiles format
Collage subsystem: Supports storing and viewing orthogonal collages on Web and Mobile interfaces
Single image subsystem: Support storing and viewing single images on Web and Mobile interfaces. Single images are often used when users take random images or use drones that do not support image merging.
Mobile App Subsystem
- Support Android and iOS operating systems
- Filter and display drone image data online
- Read flight data offline
- Displays position information (like handheld GPS): Coordinates, altitude, error, map center coordinates
- Measurement function: calculate area, length
- Enter coordinates and directions; press and hold the screen to copy coordinates and directions
Deployment and Operation
- Option 1: The software is rented as a service with data stored on GFD’s server.
- Option 2: The software is installed on the customer’s server, such as the Information Technology Center of the Department of Information and Communications; the provincial data integration center; or the customer’s server.
- The development unit will operate the system, the maintenance fee for the operating service is 12 million/year. This is the cost of editing and updating the system as required to ensure information security, and updating the application as required by Google and Apple when there is a new version.
- In case the investor rents server and operation services from the consulting unit, the maintenance fee is 30,000,000 VND/year for a capacity not exceeding 15 Gb. In case of exceeding, the additional fee is 100,000 VND/Gb/year.
WebGIS Platform
- The investor self-provides user accounts and assigns permissions to users
- Automatically update map data and flight data to the system via the user interface
Mobile Platform
- The developer will release the software on Google and Apple app stores. Users will download it directly from the mobile device’s app store.
- The software is compatible with both tablets and mobile phones.
Training Fee
- First training fee: Included in the software price
