Building a database system and mapping of Can Gio mangrove forest change on WebGIS platform and online reports according to requirements. Thereby, providing scientific basis to support stakeholders in improving the efficiency of management and sustainable use of Can Gio mangrove forest.

Forest change monitoring mechanism is implemented through Planet Scope and Rapid Eye remote sensing image interpretation technology. Changes and fluctuations in forest status detected by satellite images will be reviewed and verified in the field and updated on the map annually.

In addition, the system also monitors production activities, assigns and contracts for forest protection, planning of bird and mammal areas, network of management boards and subdivision offices. These activities are regularly updated by GFD.
