The project focuses on the following goals:

– Investigate and evaluate the current status of Vietnam’s endemic animals and plants species in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son special-use forest, Hanoi city

– Propaganda to raise awareness for officials and people about the conservation values and species of wild, endangered, precious, and rare animals and plants in Hanoi city

The main task:

– Investigate and determine the distribution and habitat characteristics of Vietnam’s endemic animal species in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Special Use Forest.

– Investigate, determine, and evaluate threats to Vietnam’s endemic animal species in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Special Use Forest.

– Develop a monitoring program for Vietnam’s endemic animal species in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Special Use Forest.

– Propose solutions for Vietnam’s endemic animal species management, conservation, and development in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Special Use Forest.

– Investigate and evaluate the current status of Vietnam’s endemic plant species in Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Special Use Forest, Hanoi City.

– Organize 03 training classes for forest rangers, officials of the Forest Management Board, commune and town officials of My Duc and Ba Vi districts; 06 training classes on education and conservation of wild animals and plants with precious and rare genetic resources for people in 4 communes in the buffer zone of Huong Son Special Use Forest.

– Develop a film about wild, endangered, precious, and rare animals and plants.
